| After training & performing
in New York City & receiving a B.A. in Dance
from Hunter College, Shannon danced in Toronto
and Las Vegas. Moving to Whidbey Island in '86,
she opened Studio Siena, a Pilates-based work-out
and dance studio. Shannon's theatre credits
include dramatic roles in Lost in Yonkers,
How it Hangs, A Gentle Thread of Light,
Laundry & Bourbon, and the title role
of Sweet Melinda in Labor of Love. She has
served as Dance Chairperson on the IAC Board and
has produced and directed Kaleidoscope of
Dance since 1988. Shannon has also performed
& choreographed in Seattle at On The Boards
and Dance Centre on Capitol Hill, and studied
ballet at Cornish College of the Arts on a grant
while pursuing Pilates training. While in
Seattle, Shannon studied drama at Freehold
Theatre and acted in productions at the New City
Theatre. In New York, she studied at HB Studio
and danced in a number of off-Broadway shows. Her
dance credits on the Island include Fall From
Grace, Jazz Alive, The Nutcracker,
and Kaleidoscope. In 1996, Shannon
choreographed Wings of the Termite and
played the role of Vegas. She was not injured in
the process - physically. She was recently seen
in multiple roles in Tom Churchill's Blue
Angelica. |
