02-24-02 First scans of old family pictures

I now have a scanner that can scan negatives and slides. These are random pictures that I grabbed. Most are scanned from 35mm slides, one from a print, and one from a 4x5 negative. I need to get some negative cleaning devices and clean them up in Photoshop. These are not final scans.

Katie (Mikey's mom)—1982 This was taken by Charlotte Casey. This was at the Vashon house. Katie is my second child.

Jenny (Robyn's mom)—1982 This was also taken by Charlotte Casey at the Vashon house. Jenny is my first child.

Gordy (Yes, that's me)—1956 Those are my brothers, Terry and Michael, behind me. This was before we went to Japan, at our house in Vacaville, CA. I think this was the summer I first heard Bill Haley and the Comets do Rock Around The Clock.

Japan—1957 or 1958 My Dad was stationed at Tachikawa (NW of Tokyo). We lived in this Japanese house for the first 18 months.

Japan—1958 Another view of the house taken in the winter. I remember how cold it was that day.

Japan—probably 1958 This was in our Japanese house. My mom on the right, my dad on the left. The woman on the left was my mom's best friend. The girl is her daughter. I'm in the red shirt.
