At the Main Branch of the New York City Public Library

My legs are ready to fall off. My knee hurts. I've been walking like Marty Feldman in “Young Frankenstein.” ("Walk this way.")

This morning, after our continental breakfast in the basement of the hotel, we ventured forth to the streets of New York under a blue sky. A pleasant contrast to yesterday. Our first destination: the Brooklyn Bridge.

Today we tried another subway line – the A & C. We found a station and were soon on our way. We wanted to get off the last station in Manhattan but missed it and ended up getting off the first station in Brooklyn. We came up out of the subway and walked towards what we though was the bridge. A man was walking by and Madelane told him we were from Seattle and how did we get to the Brooklyn Bridge. He gave us directions and suggested that we check out the Brooklyn Heights Promenade which
